Build Neurology from the Ground Up

 

Orlando Health Sebastian River Hospital is seeking a motivated General Neurologist to establish and lead the first neurology practice in Indian River County. This is a rare ground-floor opportunity: you won't be joining an existing department; you'll be creating one.

 

Practice Description:

 

This is a Monday–Friday outpatient clinic role based at the Sebastian location, with 3–4 dedicated exam rooms. The practice will serve a full general neurology panel covering the breadth of subspecialty needs in the community.

 

Common diagnoses include:

  • · Epilepsy
  • · Neuromuscular disorders
  • · Stroke & cerebrovascular disease
  • · Memory disorders & cognitive impairment
  • · Headache & migraine
  • · Multiple sclerosis (MS)

The position is structured as a standard outpatient practice — no mandatory call. Inpatient neurological coverage is currently managed by Orlando Health's teleneuro team in Orlando, so there is no on-call obligation built into this role.

Qualifications

· Education: M.D., D.O.

· Completion of an ACGME or AOA Neurology Residency Program

· Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN)

· Unrestricted FL Medical License (or the ability to obtain one) and DEA
